Downing tools

Dear all,

I'm taking a holiday

The pressure is too much

Weeds

Failed crops

And such and such

I'm defeated.

Beaten,

Spent

So instead I'm off to a tent, somewhere in a field

In Dorset

Alright

In the mean time, you'll be in the care of my guests

And tomorrow's is a treat

to keep you busy whilst I rest my feet, mind body and (green) fingers.

I hope the blog has been fun to date (I personally think it's *%$!@?* great

to write and think of puns for, and I promise to return with even more)

So until I'm back

Enjoy the craic. As they say.

Tom

Have a great holiday - I shall miss your puns - sometimes I don't have a clue what you are talking about, but you make me smile - so that can't be bad.

Thank you Elaine, a lovely comment to come back to. I'm not sure I have a clue what I'm talking about and I really shouldn't laugh at my own jokes, so I'm really glad you like the puns!

I only feel hapless because some people make it look easy to grow 10 ft marrows or a banquet of greens whereas my courgettes got nabbed by killer slugs and I only got one raspberry. So tips and stories from people less hapless than I are more than welcome.
